I am so excited, y’all! Spring is in full swing, and the weather has gotten so beautiful. The days are filled with sunshine, playgrounds, and soaking up every moment of being outdoors before the summer heat arrives and suffocates us.
The days are nothing short of perfection when we get to have a nice, icy cold treat after a long day of being outdoors, but we can’t have dairy due to the way it causes inflammation in the body.
So when Chick Fil A came out with their strawberry frosted lemonade, I just had to make a dairy free version to be able to enjoy in our home. And let me tell you, this copycat Chick Fil A dairy free frosted strawberry lemonade does NOT disappoint.
One of my favorite memories from growing up was taking a walk on warm days to get ice cream after dinner. It was quality family time, a special treat, and it made the long, hot days worth it.
But now that I am struggling to keep my inflammation in check with Hashimoto’s and Lyme Disease, dairy is on the long list of things that I cannot have anymore.
Now I want to be clear here – just because this is dairy free does not mean it’s healthy. It is still a treat, and it’s still to be had occasionally if you’re focusing on healing from chronic illness. But as an occasional treat, this frosted strawberry lemonade is really delicious!

Yes! I use coconut milk ice cream, but there’s also almond milk and cashew milk!
