As a busy mom, I know how hard it is to look good. First of all, our postpartum bodies are… different. Even if you’re lucky enough to shed the baby weight quickly, our body shape changes after having kids, and so many times our clothes just don’t fit the same again. Also, we don’t always have the time to shop, shower, or style ourselves. I know that it’s a struggle just trying to get a quick shower and get some clothes on in the morning before my two crazy boys tear the house apart. Makeup? NO, SIR.
Fall fashion is my favorite, because it involves leggings, layers, and comfort. I, for one, always default to the comfy mom style- yoga pants and a loose-fitting shirt. I don’t want to be a walking stereotype, but with the number of times that I get on the ground and back up during the day, or bend over to pick up toys off the floor, I just don’t want to be hiking my pants back up constantly. And in the event that I have a play date, the yoga pants graciously prevent me from scarring my friend and her children from seeing my mom-butt as I try to get off the floor. You’re welcome, friend.
Jeans are much less forgiving than spandex when it comes to range of motion and comfort. Plus, since I’m really only around my kids, and my 4 year old and 2 year old have no fashion sense, they can’t judge me. At least I’m not wearing a diaper.
Watches Made From Wood
Fall Fashion Moms Love
Blanket Scarves– Seriously, could these be any cuter? And easier? They are so warm and cozy and they say FALL.
Fleece Lined Leggings – Leggings are super comfortable obviously… but they are NOT warm. The bitter winter winds whip through those things like they’re not even there! And let’s face it, they barely are there. So fleece lined leggings are a winner for the cold days because you can still be comfy, but without the freezing factor.Fur Lined Boots – I don’t ever buy the expensive ones like Uggs, because they’re just too pricey for my taste. But I have found some great ones at Costco (below) that I love. They are super cute, go with leggings and jeans, and they keep my toes warm. Love these boots!
Jord Wood Watches* – I’m absolutely in love with these wood watches. They are so adorable, and the wood is a great, neutral look. It goes with everything that I own right now, and it is an accessory that really makes me feel “put together”.
I measured my wrist with their template and sent JORD the measurements upon ordering my Zebrawood & Champagne Frankie watch. The watch arrived already fitting me perfectly, which was great because this busy mama doesn’t have time to go to a jewelry store to get things resized.
When I went to set the watch, I noticed that the minute hand wasn’t keeping up with the other hands, and that it was loose. That was a bummer. I contacted JORD and they immediately sent me a return slip, and had the watch repaired and back on my doorstep in 5 days. Talk about customer service!
So I immediately started wearing the watch daily, and I couldn’t be happier with it. First of all, it’s such a light watch, so I don’t even realize I’m wearing it. The wood is so smooth, and the natural grain in the watch and band is a beautiful look. It’s the only accessory that I have that I get regular compliments on, which is new for me. Obviously my rocking mom style hasn’t been as top notch as I thought!
My husband has even been eyeing my new watch, so I’m considering getting him one for Christmas. But shhhhh, don’t tell him. 😉 They’ve got some really stylish men’s watches too!
